No. You do not have to pay for help from a family doctor in the Netherlands. Also, you do not have to pay for many medicines. Most often, you do have to pay for the medicine that you can buy without a prescription from the family doctor.  For example: medicine against headache and fever that you can buy at a drug stores or at the supermarket.
