What is a family doctor?

A family doctor (also General Practitioner or GP) is a doctor who works from their home or in a health centre, but not in a hospital. If you feel sick or have pain, first go to the practice of the family doctor. A family doctor can help you with many illnesses. If the family doctor finds it necessary or if there is more examination needed, the family doctor will send you to a hospital.
